Available to assist companies on a freelance basis with editorial styling, home staging, content writing, interior styling and visual merchandising.
Wardrobe Edit – an in depth look at what you have, what you need, what works and what doesn’t with a cull if needs be. Sometimes we end with a little online shop for some necessities.
Shopping Trip – time spent hitting the shops to update your wardrobe and try on different styles. Think of me as your shopping buddy!
Online Help & FaceTime – if you don’t have the time to go out to the shops or we just need a little catch up post my visit, we can have a FaceTime to help with some outfits you need assistance on.
Sourcing – for clients who can't access the shops I am close to Bicester Village and can assist with Personal Shopping on your behalf.
Gift Vouchers – available for any of the above.
Our first initial contact will be to decide on what approach works best for you if you haven’t already decided; a Wardrobe Edit or Shopping Trip. I will then ask you to fill in a short questionnaire which will help me get an understanding of you personally and give me a head start before we start our work together.
Wardrobe Edit: We will spend time trying items on from your wardrobe, talking through how they do or don’t work for you. It is worth pointing out here that I don’t use ‘seasons' to talk about colour. Through my training at LCF, we believe all colours can work, it is simply about finding which shade is right for you. A first Wardrobe Edit can take 2-3 sessions dependent on your wardrobe size. Whilst we are working through the edit, I keep a note of anything we feel is immediately missing and always try to share links to purchase asap if needs be.
Shopping Trip: For the Shopping Trip we will both select items we feel suit you – we learn about your style together! Some pieces will be updates, some may be looks we just want to try, or you may be looking for a specific item for an occasion. When working with a stylist this is the time to try out new styles or items you wouldn’t usually wear. The trip will be at your pace, I am not going to push you into spending your money on items that you won’t feel comfortable wearing, this is your wardrobe, not mine and we can learn from the good and the bad.
I would suggest wardrobes need to be reviewed at least twice a year along with a few shopping trips to keep you on track but this can differ for everyone.
These are the two main areas that work best with clients. However, you may prefer some online help or a FaceTime to review some specific items. You may feel that you would prefer to shop alone and just need someone to be honest about what you currently have in your wardrobe. Or you may have a completely different idea to what you need from a Personal Stylist. I am here to help so please ask about other services that may suit you.
To start with I suggest working in sessions of 3 hours. This has proven to be the best amount of time without it becoming a little ‘information overload’. Sometimes after working together awhile this reduces and sometimes it needs to be longer. I am based in Buckinghamshire, however willing and able to travel.
A final note, please don’t feel that this is a service just for those with extra pennies! I have honestly worked with all budgets and all ages. My longest standing clients really are those that just need help a few times a year to keep on top of their wardrobe and want to feel good in their clothes.
I charge an hourly rate so that I can be super flexible for my clients and their needs. Please note, cancellation of an appointment within 7 days requires a 50% payment of the planned time. Cancellation within 48 hours of the appointment requires payment in full.
